Sara Sharples graduated from Brenau University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Studies and a Concentration in Dance. Her additional training includes The Georgia Ballet Company in Marietta, Georgia and Steps of Faith Dance Studio in Cartersville, Georgia. Sara danced as a company dancer with the Gainesville Ballet Company where she performed solo roles in productions including “The Nutcracker,” “Into Grimm’s Woods,” and “A Frozen Ballet.” She has choreographed contemporary works for the Brenau’s Department of Dance student concerts. In addition to performing dance works, Sara has had opportunities to work in film and was hired as an extra for the movie, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Show,” as well as being hired to perform onstage with Weird Al Yankovic during his Atlanta performances. Her most recent opportunities include touring with the Utah Ballroom Dance Company, dancing and choreographing for Tel A Vision Productions stage play, “Holy Seduction,” as well as dancing and choreographing for her self-produced show, “Amethyst Bloom.” Sara now teaches and choreographs around Atlanta and continues to pursue a career in dance performance.
